Thinking about booking GMM… or maybe joining us?

We love to dance at Fetes and Festivals, for special events like weddings or parties. We also provide demonstrations and workshops for community groups, and love to dance out at pubs around the county in the evenings.

Interested in trying Morris dancing?

The best time to join is during the practice season.
From mid-September until (roughly) Easter you’ll find us every Tuesday
at St Marys Congregational Church, St Marys Street, Gloucester, GL1 2QS.
(In the summertime we like to spend our Tuesday evenings dancing at pubs, bars, taverns, inns or alehouses around the county. Variety is the spice of life!)

We’re keen to arrange lift-shares where we can – so please check with the Bagman or Squire and they may be able to put you in touch with a house-trained member of the side who lives close to you. We have members across the county!

We start practice at 7.45pm and finish roughly 9.45, at a time when people mysteriously vanish, only to be found reassembled across the road at the Pelican Inn to complete the evening with a few songs and some music.

The Hall is at SO 830189 or can be found on What3Words at Photos.Places.Posed

Or just come along to any of our performances and chat with anyone of the side if you want to find out what’s involved. There’s no need to have danced before and it doesn’t really matter what age you are either, as we welcome a vast age range from young to old. Maybe you are a musician rather than a dancer, if so, you’ll be more than welcome.
